How we met:
We met online in Feb. 2009, went on our first date March 27, 2009. We were engaged August 2009 and married Oct. 31, 2009.
How we got engaged:
We hadn't been dating long, but I had told him one night, that we were going to get married one day, I just knew he was the one. He told me he was going to Hawaii and wanted me to come with him, the only way I was going to move that far from family was if we were married. So we had been engaged unoffically for a while, and then he finally talked to my dad and when I was in OK with him we went to the jewelry store and picked out the perfect ring! There was no fancy proposal, he didn't sweep me off my feet or surprise me with a romantic dinner, but he did ask me, in the jewelry store to marry him.
Our wedding:
It was very small and very sweet. We had it at his church in Dahlonega, 2 weeks before we really wanted to get married. My sister was my one and only brides maid, my maid of honor, and the Hubs best friend was his one and only grooms man, his best man. My dad's parents flew in from Virginia to be there, my mom's parents were unable to attend because of my grandmother's health. My father walked me down the aisle to Bella's Lullaby from Twilight. My good friend offered to do our pictures for free, and did an amazing job! While looking through the book of ceremonies the preacher gave us we found a neat thing that included both sets of parents, and we included that. It was more in debth than "who gives this woman," it was asking both sets to welcome us each into their families. It was something special we knew everyone would LOVE! Since we had to move it up 2 weeks, not many of my family made it due to time and distance. Most of my friends didn't even get to make it. We had a short reception afterwards, with a beautiful cake for me and a Field Artillery cake for the Hubs. We danced to "Amanda" by Boston, I danced to "Brown Eyed Girl" with my dad and he danced to "Hero" by Mariah Carey with his mom. My brother's girlfriend caught the flowers, and a friend of the Hubs caught the garter belt! The guys had a great time decorating our car, the Hubs had to take out his pocket knife to get in the drivers side! We then went to his grandparents house (were we were staying) and the Hubs cleaned off the car while I took a shower to get the hairspray out of my hair! We opened cards and gifts before we left for Atlanta for 2 days!
(I will finish this at a later time)
